Boys and Girls ages 9-18


 

COMPETITIVE TRACK SEASON (FEBRUARY - JULY)

Practices will be held twice a week for Track and Field during the competitive track season. Competitions will take place on selected Saturdays and Sundays throughout the spring season. Please see SCHEDULE for times and dates.

 

 

Cross Country and OffSeason (September-January)

Practices will be held once a week for Cross Country and Offseason Track and Field training. Selected Cross Country competitions will be contested into the month of November.

 

 

FEE SCHEDULE

$125 per month for the Spring Track and Field Season. Fees are prorated. Returning members receive a 10% discount to $110 per month (members since December 2023). Additional siblings are $60 per month.

*member fee includes: Club shirt, facility rental, equipment, registration fees for meets.

Q: What is the eligible age for athletes to train with Eagles Wings Track Club?
A: Boys and girls ages 9-18.

Q: How often does the Club train?
A: The Club trains year round. See Schedule page.

Q: Where does the Club train?
A: The Club trains at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, CA. Cathedral is located at 5555 Del Mar Heights Rd.

Q: Can interested members do a test run practice?
A: Yes, interested members may try the Club on for size during a free trial practice at any Eagles Wings practice any time throughout the year. Please fill out all membership paperwork before the your free trial practice. If you wish to become a member of the Club, membership fees are due at the time of the second practice, and you will become a member for the following months.

Q: When can I join the Club?
A: We prefer members join the Club early in the season so the group stays together on the learning curve, but we welcome members to join at any time.

Q: What if I have schedule conflicts?
A: We understand that your attendance may change throughout the year based on your family’s schedule. Some members are with us 12 months a year, while others attend certain months due to seasonal sports, performing arts, academics, etc. Practices and competitions are never mandatory. Once you are a member, you may come and go as your schedule permits.

Q: In what events can new members expect to train?
A: New members will learn the basics of every event of track and field, then they can expect to specialize in 2-3 events. The Club has experienced coaches instructing ALL Track events. See Coaching Staff page for info and bios.

Q: Can High School athletes train with the Club?
A: High school athletes can be part of the Club, but they cannot train during their Spring high school team season. These athletes can train with the Club during the off-season until their high school team season starts, then they can return to the Club in the Summer.

*This a rare opportunity for Youth athletes to be instructed by expert coaches and train at state of the art facilities.

 

 

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Club is to educate youth on the variety of events within the sport of track and field. The Club provides training and competitive opportunities in which athletes learn positive sportsmanship, increase self-confidence, and socially mature as members of the community. A variety of teaching methods are used in order to improve athletic abilities and educate lifelong fitness habits. Practices are held year round at Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, CA.
